For the eighth year running, we are organising the residential summer courses on the North Costa Blanca, where students will stay with host families. Subsequently we would like to offer you the first opportunity to be part of this programme in 2017.
Summer School is being held for six weeks, from the 2nd of July till the 11th of August. Children staying with host families will attend school in Benissa from 09.30 to 16.50. A bus service will run from all around the Costa Blanca, with bus stops in all main towns. The bus will collect residential students between approximately 08.30 and 09.10 in the morning and return them between 17.00 and 17.30 in the afternoon. They will need transport to and from the bus stop or to the school if there is not a bus stop nearby. Host parents are required to provide sufficient snacks and drinks to get their host student through the day, however, lunch is provided at the School at no cost to the host family.
Free Summer School places for host family children
We are also offering FREE places at the summer school to children of Host Families. The children would take part in all activities at the school, plus one morning a week at the beach and an afternoon at an outdoor pool for fun and games. Transport and school lunch are included. All we ask of the children is that while at the school they only speak in English.
Watch the video to learn about the Host Families course:
On Saturday they will go to a theme park, either Terra Mitica or Aqualandia, drop off and pick up points are exactly the same place and time as for a school day, they will need a packed lunch for this trip.
We are looking for native English speaking people to host the Spanish students, and will consider all types of families, they do not necessarily have to be a family with children, they can be a retired couple or even a single parent, we will consider everybody. We just ask that the family dedicate their time to helping the Spanish students improve their English language skills, this is why we request that only English be spoken in the host family home during the students stay. If you would like to become a host family please complete the online questionnaire below, once this form has been submitted we will make arrangements to visit you in your home and meet you and your family. We will then be able to answer any questions you may have. We do require that all adult members of the host family complete a police check, and we will be able to assist you with the completion of this form.
While the students are here there will be 24 hour support for the host families. Find below the schedule for this summer and the Host Family questionnaire. We are always looking for more host families, if you know of any family or friends who would like to join the programme, please let us know.

As you can see in the schedule, students attend school from Monday to Friday, approximately from 9:30 till 16:50. On Saturdays they go on a day trip either to Terra Mítica or Aqualandia, so the students are out of home as if they went to school. The only proper “Family day” is Sunday.
Have a look at the next video to get a glimpse of what the host families’ children do at school.
We also plan activities for host families, like the Paella Day, when we all have a big meeting to enjoy paella and British desserts made by families and students. Our staff is available 24 hours a day, in case any problem appears, and they keep a close eye on students to see how they are doing.
