After 8 years in Alicante, Inglaterra en Casa lands in Murcia! We are organising residential summer courses on the Costa Cálida, Orihuela Costa and Torre Pacheco, where students will stay with British and Irish host families. Subsequently we would like to offer you the first opportunity to be part of this programme in 2017.
Join us!
Summer School is being held for four weeks, from the 2nd till the 28th of July. Children staying with host families will attend King’s College in Roldán (Murcia) from 09.30 to 16.50 approximately. The host families will need transport to and from the bus stop or to the school if there is not a bus stop nearby. Host parents are required to provide snacks and drinks for the student through the day, although lunch is provided at the school at no cost for the host family.
Watch these videos to get a better idea about the host families course:
On Saturday the students go to a theme park. Drop off and pick up points are exactly the same place and time as for a school day. For this day in particular, students do need a packed lunch.
We are looking for native English speakers to host the Spanish students, and will take into consideration all types of families. They do not necessarily have to be a family with children; single parents and retired couples can be perfect host families as well. What we do need is the family to dedicate their time to helping the students improve their English languages skills. English must be spoken at all times during the students’ stay at the host family home.
Host Family areas
We are looking for host families in differente areas in Orihuela Costa, Costa Cálida or Torre Pacheco.
- Orihuela Costa: Mil Palmeras, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca…
- Costa Cálida: Los Alcázares, San Javier…
- Torre Pacheco: La Torre Golf Resort, Mar Menor Golf Resort…
If you want to become a host family please complete the questionnaire below. Once it has been submitted we will get in touch to arrange a visit in order to meet you and your family. In said meeting we will answer any question you may have. It is required for all adults of the host family to complete a police check, but we will assist you during the process.
While the students are participating in the course, the host families have 24 hour support from Inglaterra en Casa. You can find a simplified weekly schedule below. Also, if you know of friends or family that may be interested in joining the programme, please let us know.
As you can see in the schedule, students attend the summer the school from Monday to Friday, approximately from 9:30 till 16:50. On Saturdays they go on a day trip, so the students are out of home as if they went to school. The only full «Family day» is Sunday.
